Well, it depends what kind of group you want to set up. If you are looking to set up a chat, there probably already is one (I've never tried to set up one myself since I've never come up with an original idea that no one else had thought of and created a group for, eg there are like 50 teen titans groups, so all I had to do was pick one when I had something I wanted to discuss). However, you must understand the partisipation rate on DevART, just because you create it, don't expect a ton of people to come pouring in , that's a bit of a mistake I made when I first joined, I got a little irritated that no one seemed to comment or my work, it takes time, but if you are regular about your updates, the masses will come.

Your question: If you are referring to chats, there's a tab at the top of the screen (or here's a link: [link] ) and you just do a quick search for groups that are discussing your topic (note that the search is for groups with 2 or more people, so there may be inactive groups that aren't coming up on your search). The other option is forums (so you don't need to be online to get a response), again it's a link at the top of your screen (direct link: [link] )

I haven't really done much with groups, sorry . If you could give me an example of what you want to set up, I could probably help you out a lot more with the specifics

Also, along the idea of chats... if you ever need a quick answer to something (like I once wanted to know what the minimum age for Deviants was, but couldn't find it in the help & faq [link at the bottom of the screen], I used the help chat here: [link] [the min age you are allowed to claim to be is 13 by the way])

If by top people you mean people with a lot of page views, that's extremely hard to control, and often unnecessary. I'm not quite sure why you would want people with a lot of views (unless you mean admins, which is a different story) in your group, are you looking for experience/exposure? Exposure comes in time, don't rush it too much.

A fun thing to do if you aren't already, is to record your gallery statistics (page views/# favs/etc.) over a period of time and see how you progress, and see what caused the biggest jump . I started doing that several months ago, but I missed like 4 months from the beginning, so my data's incomplete, but it's fun to plot it in Excel and see the trend line and extrapolate to when you will reach 1,000,000 views .

Could you expand on your initial question? What kind of group (real time [chat], or come and go freely [forum/journal entry]), and for what topic? What kind of top people are you referring to? (admins/lots of page views/experience)
